This notice covers the ReadyCat iOS app and readycat.artifact-kit.com. ReadyCat is operated by Yuhang Dong, an independent software developer based in China. Privacy contact: privacy@artifact-kit.com.
Information on your device
Trips, guide screenshots and extracted content, menu photos and extracted content, recommendation markers, selected dishes, menu options, and waiter cards are stored locally. ReadyCat does not create a travel-profile account or sync this database to its own cloud in the first release.
The active Vercel AI Gateway key is stored in iOS Keychain. Device and backup behavior also depends on Apple and your iOS/iCloud settings.
Information processed for AI
When you start an AI action, selected images, extracted text, relevant guide or menu context, and limited generated prompts are sent through Vercel AI Gateway to the provider needed for that feature. See AI Data Usage for the current provider-by-provider breakdown.
The current release uses only a Gateway key that you provide. It is verified through a minimal Gateway request and is not sent to ReadyCat’s server. ReadyCat currently does not sell AI credits, issue managed keys, or process an in-app purchase.
Website, security, and support data
Cloudflare processes network and request data needed to deliver and protect the website and API, such as IP address, request URL, browser and device headers, approximate network location, timestamps, status codes, and security signals. ReadyCat does not currently use advertising trackers or sell personal information for targeted advertising.
If you contact us, we process your email address, message, and any information you choose to include. Please do not send keys, full image payloads, or sensitive travel documents.
Why we process information
- Provide the app and AI feature you request.
- Keep local order state consistent.
- Secure, debug, and operate the app and website.
- Respond to support and privacy requests.
- Prevent abuse, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.
Depending on local law, we rely on performing the service you request, your consent for optional AI uploads, our legitimate interests in security and support, and compliance with legal obligations.
Who receives information
- Apple — iOS distribution, Keychain, and device services.
- Vercel — AI Gateway routing and authentication.
- OpenAI, DeepSeek, Black Forest Labs, and Meta — only for the purposes described on the AI Data Usage page.
- Cloudflare — website/API delivery, security, Worker execution, and operational logs.
- Authorities or transaction advisers when required by law or necessary to protect rights, users, or the service.
Retention
Local content remains until you delete it, remove the app, or it is otherwise removed through device or backup management. Gateway keys remain in Keychain until replaced or deleted, subject to iOS behavior. Cloudflare Worker logs are retained for a short operational period under the account plan. Support messages are kept while the request is handled and as needed for follow-up or legal obligations.
Vercel and model providers apply their own retention and deletion rules. ReadyCat cannot guarantee immediate deletion from their systems after a completed request.
International processing and security
The providers above operate in multiple countries. Your information may be processed outside your country, including the United States and, for DeepSeek, China, subject to applicable transfer safeguards and provider terms.
ReadyCat uses iOS Keychain, access-controlled service credentials, runtime validation, and payload-minimizing logs. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
- Delete trips, dining sessions, images, and other local content in the app.
- Delete or replace the Gateway key in app settings.
- Decline an AI upload by not starting the feature or revoke AI consent in settings.
- Contact privacy@artifact-kit.com to exercise rights available under local law.
- Complain to your local data-protection authority. Some legal records may still need to be retained.
Children
ReadyCat is not directed to children under 16. If local law requires a higher digital-consent age, that age applies. Anyone under 18 should use the service only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
Changes
We will update the version and effective date when this notice materially changes. Where required, we will provide an in-app notice or request consent before new processing begins.
