Made for the moment at the table
Food advice is easy to save and hard to use when the menu is in another language. ReadyCat gives each trip a lightweight place for guide screenshots, reads the restaurant menu when you choose, marks dishes that match saved recommendations, and lets you assemble the order.
A trip is only a local context container. ReadyCat is not an itinerary planner, restaurant discovery service, booking tool, payment service, or proof that a restaurant accepted an order.
How the first release works
- Add screenshots from food guides you already trust.
- Photograph the menu at the restaurant.
- Look for the “recommended in your guide” marker on matching dishes.
- Choose dishes, quantities, and menu options, then show the final waiter card.
Local-first by design
Trips, imported guides, menus, recommendation markers, and order state are stored on the iPhone. There is no ReadyCat travel-profile account or cloud sync in the first release. AI runs only after you choose an AI action and have a valid Vercel AI Gateway key in iOS Keychain.
AI assists; you decide
ReadyCat distinguishes guide claims, menu facts, model inferences, unknowns, and your choices where the current data model supports it. AI output can be incomplete or wrong. You decide which dishes and options enter the order.
Availability and contact
The public MVP is being prepared for iOS. Android release, accounts, cloud sync, in-app maps, live location, reservations, online ordering, payments, and in-app AI purchases are outside this release. Restaurant clues can be handed off to an installed maps app.
